Toddlers in Bali/Lovina - where to stay

We are taking a 5 and 3 year old, plus us, plus grandma to Bali. Want to get off the beaten track, but still have kid friendly accomodation. Any recommendations? Should we try for a villa? thanks!

Hi,

Are you only looking at accommodation in Lovina? There's Puri Bagus Lovina. I checked it out in June and saw quite a few kids there....

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't stay at a private villa with deep pool with small kids, otherwise you have to watch them every single seconds so they won't jump in the pool by themselves.

Puri Bagus is a good place to accommodate the small kids and grandma too.

Rambutan is very child friendly, with playground areas in garden, and in the restaurant. there is also a tree house for kids. the pool has a large area with very shallow water, not specifically for kids but ideal for them as in the lowest section a baby can sit there, or an adult can wallow and read a book.

the melka excelsior hotel is a wonderfull place to stay with children it has a zoo in its grounds and dolphins in 3 of the four swimming pools .

there is an abundance of staff tending to the grounds and the animals.. food there is also very good .

lovina is far cheaper on the budget than the busier resorts in the south and the restaurants and bars in the area are very good value for money .

I also would agree with the Melka Excelsior Hotel in Lovina. The little zoo in the grounds, beautifully laid out gardens and the dolphins would be something the kids would really enjoy. Publishes rates are from US$30 night - US$100 night depending on what type of accommodation you require. I would bargin or see if you can get it cheaper through a broker. Meals are a little on the high side but you do not have to eat there. Heading west from the hotel there is a really great beach cafe.
