Frances Lake Campground

If you are looking for a completely remote destination, try the Yukon Government campground on Frances Lake. It's about 200 kms north of Watson Lake on the Campbell Hwy (more like a single lane gravel road for southerners). Had a great lakeside campsite, nothing for hundreds of kms, not an artifical light in sight, so the stars are spectacular. So is the silence, broken by the lonely call of a loon. Perfect spot.

It sounds lovely Warfdon..........Every Yukon government campground I have encountered has been very nice indeed.......still trying to talk Popbear into renting an RV and spending as much time in the Yukon as we can........ahhh, maybe next summer (sigh).........Hope you get a chance at seeing the Northern Lights on your trip !
