Northern lights

Please can anyone help me, we're visiting the yukon, in Whitehorse at the moment and we're looking for any advice about good spots to see the northern lights. According to the forecasts its going to be ok over the next 4 nights so were thinking of heading to Dawson city. If anyone has any advice we'd love to hear it.

all the best

Without checking the weather forecast for Dawson, the top of the Midnight Doe at Dawson will give you an incredible show tomorrow night (Saturday) according to the aurora forecast - http://www.gedds.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast/ It should also be good in Whitehorse - just get away from the city lights (head west out the Alaska Highway 20 miles or so for the best viewing in this area).

Whoops, tomorrow isn't Saturday - but the good aurora show is going to be Saturday night.

If you'd like to see some of the great Fall colours in the Whitehorse-area high country tomorrow (Friday :) ), give me a call, Matt - 33-9597
