FYI - Travellers to the Charlevoix

Rte 138 is closed between St. Simeon and La Baie St. Catherine after the storm. The road caved in at one point, but you can keep an eye on this situation by checking this site.

1. Re: FYI - Travellers to the Charlevoix

Thanks for the info Donnasinc91.

I wanted to play the wise guy and suggest that people detour by the 176 to Ville de Saguenay and then take one of the two roads along the Saguenay River but both 170 and 172 are also closed due to the leftovers from Irene.

As stated on the official site (Donnasinc's link) the only way to reach the North-Shore / Manicouagan area is by ferries from the South Shore.

For those of you planning on a whale watching cruise there is still a possibility of doing one from Saint-Siméon but one must rush to make reservation as this is done with a very special zodiac and seats are limited.
