Have I chosen good restaurants for dinner?

I'm in QC on Saturday 3rd September, which I know is a holiday weekend so I want to get a booking in quickly. Can you advise if one of the below would make a great place for a Saturday evening dinner at not huge expense, but with good food and not the kind of place where they rush you in and out.

Bistro du Cap

Hobbit Bistro

Le Lapin Saute

Bistro Sous Le Fort

Le Pain Beni

All would do but Hobbit is a bit more of an ordinary café. Haven't heard so much about Bistro du Cap

Lapin sauté and Pain béni are fine - you will need a reservation. Sous le fort and Du cap: frankly nothing to write home about. Hobbit and the nearby Bilig: you will likely be the onlytourist there :)

Le Papin is one of my very favorites. Sit outside if you can while the music is playing in the park next door. Well worth it. Duck and rabbit dishes are their specialty.

Sous Le Fort gets a bum rap sometimes as it is close to the funicular so it is near crowds. While small, smaller than Le Lapin, it also has good food and the offer some terrific wines. I don't think you'll go wrong there.

Le Pain Beni is highly recommended with wonderful service.

3 great picks IMHO. I'm not familiar with the other 2 so can't comment.

Enjoy!!

Ok, so I'm an idiot.......!!!!!!!

As my friend Eirelover has politely noted, it is Le Lapin Saute, not some place which doesn't exist or sounds like it could be the nickname of Papillon.

Pardon, je ne l'ai pas fait expres. God help me if I've screwed that up!! LOL!!

PS, do I get credit for spelling it correctly the second time?

Actually I have one final question, have decided to go for Le Lapin Saute - will I have to speak French if I call them to reserve a table? My French is basic to put it mildly!

Moê. Either the person that answer the call will speak some english or fetchone. If it is an answering machine/voicemail even better.

Hobbit definitely, not a tourist place but a real nice and very romantic restaurant. Food always good, service excellent, don't worry they do speak english...A must
