Best playground for a toddler in Montreal?

Can anyone recommend a good playground for a toddler in Montreal? We have a 2-year old and would like to give him some places to run around in between dragging him to markets, restaurants, and the such. Near the Plateau would be good, but we'll have a car and are planning on checking out the playground in Verdun near the circus school.

I would suggest parc Jeanne Mance, on Parc avenue. It is across the street from the Sir George-Étienne Cartier monument at the base of Mount Royal, so you can combine it with a visit to the mountain.

Also the playground in Westmount Park, on Sherbrooke street is nice as is the whole park, in the upscale Westmount neighbourhood.

I'm a father of 3 young kids, so believe me, I know my city parks!

Pretty much every park you'll find on Google Maps has a nice playground, really. Just in the Plateau Mont-Royal borough, Laurier, Baldwin and La Fontaine parks would have the biggest playgrounds

However, even smaller parks like Saint-Michel, Thérèse-Daviau, Gilles-Lefebvre parks and tons of others have very nice playgrounds.

This is true for most inner city neighborhoods, the only exception being the downtown area, which is, sadly, very poorly equipped in terms of playgrounds.

Bon voyage!

2 yr olds arent that fussy about their parks , give em a slide, sand box and swing and they'll be happy for hours. just pick the closest one in your area.
