Domaine de l'Ile Ronde.... Directions to this winery?
Save

Tristou posted a comment about this place and said it was north of Montreal on the St. Lawrence River. I am very interested in visiting...but their website is in French. I did use the Google translator ...but there are no directions. It also seems like they cater to the boat & airplane people???, so maybe they don't want the 'average joe-schmo' to visit??

I'm hoping Tristou will weigh in again and maybe others that have been there??

I cannot give you so much feedback on what they are offering and their website is really fuzzy but on the main page, if you look on the right side you will see the Nous Joindre section, click there and send them an e-mail.

There is also a free long distance number on that page so another way to reach them.

As per driving there you have to go to to Saint-Sulpice which is 45 minutes from downtown Mtl. You can use Google maps and for ittinerary just type Saint-Sulpice and pick the one in Quebec as there are others in France and Switzerland. Then from Saint-Sulpice you have to use a ferry service to get to the island.

It caters to everyone -- it's just that the person that owns it is a very rich man and likes to fly, and probably has friends with similar incomes and interests.

You will have to phone them to reserve, anyway. We went as a group, so we went over by a big boat operated by http://www.croisierelaval-mtl.com (whose link is on the Île-Ronde's site, but alas another French-only website). We left from the Brosseau Marina just before Saint-Sulpice (the official address is 680, rue Notre-Dame O., Saint-Sulpice, Québec, J5W 3X2) -- you can get all the way there from Montréal if you take Notre-Dame (the 138).
