I am planning a trip to Montreal and I have seen many people suggest parking at the Longueuil metro station. The price is much better than the lot near our hostel but I was wondering if the "day" price allows you to park overnight. Example, I parked on Friday, and left the car there until Monday. Thanks for your help!

I just phoned, and they say no problem -- you can leave your car there for as long as you want -- P1 (closer to the métro) is $8 for 24h; P2 (a little farther) is $7.

However, the Grande Bibliothèque offers a weekend rate of $7 per 24h, and it's closer to downtown and not outside and connected to Berri UQAM métro so very convenient if you want to grab the car for a little jaunt.

At either place, don't leave anything in view -- Montreal (and Longueuil) are dreadful for car theft.

Thank you much for the response, and especially for making the phone call for me! Looks like we will be parking dowtown then! Even Better! I can stomach 7 dollars a day but 12 bucks a day when we are paying 18 for the bed is a little steep. Thanks again!
