Getting to Blue Jays Stadium

Hi, We got a trip coming up to see the Blue Jays in action. Our accommodation is on Jarvis Street by Allen's park. What's the best way to get to the stadium?

Walk north to Carleton then west to Yonge (or take the streetcar 2 stops) and get on the subway at College Park. Ride it south to Union Station and walk to Rogers Centre.

You don't need a transfer.

If they took the streetcar to the subway they'd need a transfer.

phpr is correct,

you need a transfer ticket,

always have a contingency,

visitors should always get a transfer regardless,

not being familiar with the city + transit system,

it is easy to take a wrong turn + be on the outside looking in without a transfer,

requiring them to repay their fare,

enjoy Toronto

If you take a wrong turn, your transfer is invalid. You can't use it to go 2 opposite directions on a streetcar or on the subway if you exit the station. It's 2 blocks to College subway station from Allan Gardens. You don't need the streetcar.

I think a lot of TTC drivers/collectors would show leniency to a confused tourist using a transfer incorrectly due to a wrong turn, as long as you HAVE a transfer (with a recent time stamp) to show they've paid their fare.

Also remember that when riding the Queen streetcar during the day, you need a transfer as proof of payment, unless you have a pass. If you can't keep all those rules straight in your head, best to just take a transfer as default.

Though yes, as others have said you won't need a transfer just to ride the subway from College to Union if you get to the subway on foot.
