Parking in Toronto

Can you get buy in Toronto without a car? Seems very expensive to park at the hotels or public lots. What's a good shuttle service to and from Buffalo/Niagra airport?

Toronto is an easy city to navigate by walking or take public transit...known as the TTC (Toronto Transit Commision) so no, you don't need a car.....

Toronto has a great subway system, and lots of buses and streetcars to get around on.......

Niagara Air Bus provides 24/7 service from Buffalo Airport to Toronto

Megabus is another company to look into.........they are on a regular schedule though

Yep, typically if you're staying in a downtown hotel you don't need a car and for most of the things visitors see and do, it's more of a hassle to drive. You can always rent a car for a day if you want to visit something further out (e.g. the zoo is a very long ride by public transit).

A visitor's introduction to public transit in Toronto can be found at tripadvisor.ca/Travel-g155019-s303/Toronto:O… .

From Buffalo airport, Greyhound also has a few buses a day to downtown Toronto. With Megabus, do be careful of their luggage restrictions (http://us.megabus.com/luggage-allowance.aspx).

Also, there are a number of ways to get between Toronto and Niagara Falls (Greyhound, Megabus, GO Transit, Via Rail) if you're stopping there on your way to or from the airport.

As long as most of the stuff you want to do is near a subway stop, you will be more than fine.....if you want to stray from Toronto at all, then a car is needed for the most part....

With the exception of Vaughn Mills, the Science Centre, and the Zoo, most attractions are either at a TTC subway station or just a short walk away.
