CN Tower

Could someone advise if you can only get to the top of the tower from a lift on the outside? Kids want to go up but i'm very very nervous of any lift on the outside of a building. I did here there was an internal lift?

The lifts are inside the building, but with glass doors. If you stay at the back, or look to the back, it should be OK.

The only thing I'd caution you of if you are afraid of heights, is prepare for the slow down at the top. The elevator gets up there pretty fast, but slows down a lot when approaching the top, creating that sinking feel in your stomach that you get in a plane when it dips quickly in turbulence. Freaked me out the first time I went up!

I am affraid to go more then 3 steps on a ladder and my GF got me up there.

She just made me stand at the back of the elevator, but I still looked anywhere but outside.

So, did you walk on the glass floor?

actually the doors are metal like regular elevators but has a glass back wall...likewise the elevator shaft has a glass wall looking out over the city...so if you're first on you'd think you would be at the back but in reality you're at the "front" looking out...

Yeah I walked on it.

It wasn't so much about being up that high. The problem is getting up that high, and then getting back down. :D
