Fallsdude listed all the fallsview hotels in this thread -

"Best" view is subjective. My suggestion is/was - go to the TripAdvisor hotel listings and click on the candid photos under each hotel to judge yourself. Remember the general rule of thumb - the higher the floor, the better the view.

I will just add that probably the best views are:

American Falls - Sheraton on the Falls

Canadian & American Falls - Fallsview Casino

- Oakes Hotel

- Embassy Suites

- Marriot Fallsview

Oakes Hotel is reasonable and right on top of the Horseshoe Falls. Also have a nice shot of the American and Bridal Falls. When booking, be specific regarding what you want in terms of a view. Fallsview Casino, Embassy Suites have great views as well but cost three times as much. We're staying at the Sheraton Fallsview for the first time in a few weeks. They have assured us the room - Superior Fallsview - has a great view with floor to ceiling windows and it was very reasonable - about $135 but I'm hesitant to recommend as I haven't stayed there yet. Sheraton on the Falls, at the bottom of Clifton Hill, is nice and does have great views (including the gardens) but it's a different angle so to speak - you're not on top of the Falls but rather in front of it. Regardless of where you stay, plan on being in front of your window at 10 pm on Friday and Sunday evenings - FIREWORKS over the Falls. There's nothing more romantic than that!!

We stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview in April, and the view from our rooms was absolutely stunning. Full floor-to-ceiling unobstructed view of the Horseshoe and American Falls - we had a family suite, and the views shown on the website were exactly what we got.

Would definitely go back there again.

We stayed in a corner suite at the Sheraton on the Falls, I can not begin to describe the wonderful views! I posted pictures on my review of the hotel, I believe if you click on my profile, you can see them. We loved it so much, we are coming back in April!

Most of the Fallsview hotels are very good, we have stayed at the Marriott Fallsview, amazing views of the falls, but not cheap. Although if you go during the week it is a bit less pricey, especially in the off season.

The Sheraton Fallsview Hotel & Conference Centre will have the best views you will ever see. There are 2 Sheratons, so make sure you research that one and not the other.

I have stayed at the Oakes, the Marriott Niagara Falls and most recently the Fallsview Casino Resort.

While the Oakes Hotel is not luxurious, the views on the 16th floor (a number of times) are pretty spectacular. You are front row centre and have a good view of the fireworks on a Friday/Sunday evening.

The Marriott hotel is pricey but for a special occassion you really can't beat their deluxe rooms. The beds and linens alone are to die for luxury! Have also stayed a number of times in this hotel from the 14th floor to the 21st floor and have always had a marvelous front row centre view of all the falls (approx $150 more than the Oakes).

The Fallsview can be deceptive. Knowing what a spectacular view we've enjoyed at the Oakes Hotel right next door to the casino, I assumed we would have a straight on view. WRONG. We were on the 8th floor and and on an angle geared towards the Canadian Falls but had to crane our necks to see the American/Bridal Veil Falls. Sunday fireworks consisted of a spark of light hither and thither. It was a comp room but I would have been very disappointed had I paid the $450 CDN they usually charge. BTW, the room itself is quite nice. The bathroom was ELEGANT.

The Marriott seems to face straight out to the falls. The Fallsview Casino, Embassy seem to be odd-shaped with some rooms pointing out at weird angles so you may only see some of the falls. They all seem pricey, and you may have to talk to the hotel directly and explain you are looking for a room for newlyweds, and only the deluxe fallsview will suffice-no side views, no partially obstructed views, no view of only one of the falls. Hopefully they will take care of you and point you to the exact room type.
