Pricleine and Hotwire For Niagara Falls--Many Use Either?

Have many of you ever used Priceline or Hotwire for hotels? I have never even thought of it. Wondering what rates have been gotten.

betterbidding.com doesn't have much happening for Niagara Falls to indicate what's been had lately, but here are two recent threads

It probably won't hurt to put your price range in and see what comes up, worst case you get no hotel, or a hotel you might not love, best case you save a bunch on a nice crash pad.

I'd start out bidding $60 or $70 and then go up to $80 if nothing comes up.

Seems Niagara isn't too common on the betterbidding forum.

Tried, got to $80 and no luck 3.5*-4*. Did not go three star as I do not want to take a chance of being up on Lundy's Lane somewhere like Best Western and Ramada there.

Yeah the great deals seem to be no more. I've used both and it was better years back, today I check rates for mid Sept on express deals I save 10 to 15%...what happen to the savings of 45% of long ago ?

But Priceline is great for spotting good deals, enter the dates and then click star ratings and skim down the list looking for $80 or so prices--don't forget there are taxes/fees but priceline will show you the total price before you pay.

Groupon.com and Wagjag.com both have deals for Niagara Hotels currently listed.

I have used both and have been pleased with the results.

Hope that helps!

You could try travelzoo.ca as well, there are always deals on NF hotels and attractions...

All the package deals on travelzoo etc are always Sun to Thu. Defeats the purpose of getting one of the packages. The weekend deals come out for winter and early spring.
