I was in Long Point provincial park on 5 August 2012, with my family.
It was windy and a lot of waves, a lot of swimmers, kids and adults , the water was shallow
and looked safe, when we sat at the picknick tables, we notice Police cars, rescue cars and ambulance rushing to the spot where we were swimming moment ago.
To make the story shorter one man was drown and his body was found next day 6 km away.
While the search was going on some people were still swimming unaware about the danger!
The park personel didnt warn guests about dangerous condition, befor and during the rescue.
One man who stayed in cottedge sayed that this happens very often when there are waved and wind, its undertoe.
I think guests deserve to know about the specifics of this beach and the hidden danger.
Will never go there again.
This is a short video from there:
