Best view of Niagara Falls

Can someone tell us which hotel in Niagara Falls, ON has the best view of the falls? Is there anything we need to ask for to get a view? Thanks!

I would say all the 4 star hotels on fallsview dr, the higher the floor the better. Rooms are called city view or fallsview, very simple. Rates are of course higher for a fallsview room.

Hi Weluvtheocean1986,

Welcome to the NIAGARA FALLS TRAVEL FORUM.

Accommodations (Hotels, Motels, Inns & some B&Bs) tend to be grouped along the Niagara Parkway (River Road), as well as around the Clifton Hill Area (Falls Avenue at the base – or Victoria Avenue at the top) as well as Fallsview Blvd, Ferry Street / Lundys Lane

Hotels that offer true Falls Views are the bigger brand names along Falls Avenue and Fallsview Blvd.

Indeed not all Hotels in Niagara Falls offer Falls View Rooms… and not all Falls View Rooms are created equally.

For more info on this suggest that you take a look at the TOP QUESTIONS ABOUT NIAGARA FALL (Box to the right of this screen) and the FAQ entitled *Which Hotels have Views of The Falls?*

Falls View Rooms come in 3 Categories… PARTIAL – FULL – and PANORAMIC… know what you are paying for… and should be getting.

As all this info can bet a bit overwhelming, I suggest that you use some other on-line tools as to become more familiar with Niagara Falls and the lay-of-the-land

An On-Line Mapping Program (I like GOOGLE MAPS) is invaluable when Trip Planning, it can calculate times & distances, not only for driving but in the close-up mode also for Walking, Cycling and using Public Transit. Likewise the Satellite View and Street Views are invaluable for getting a real feel for a place, and even a “look see” BEFORE you ever arrive.

Additionally… you should check out the Niagara Falls Interactive Photo Map… you will see that NF Canada is in the foreground… The Falls Gorge in the centre crossed by the Rainbow Bridge… and NF USA in the background.

Niagara Falls Photo Interactive Map = niagarafallslive.com/Niagara_Falls_Interacti…

The Niagara Parkway on the lower level is hard to see in this pic… you can see a wee bit of it in the right hand lower corner near the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and then further along on the Canadian side of the Rainbow Bridge.

The Photo though does show the Fallsview Area Hotels quite well… all those skyscrapers along the bottom portion of the photo in a row. Each building is clickable… and will give you more info about them.

To the left side of the Photo is the Clifton Hill area… Look for the Niagara Skywheel. To the right of that you`ll see the dome of the Fallsview Waterpark, and at the corner of Clifton Hill & Falls Avenue the black & green skyscraper would be Sheraton on the Falls.

Hotels in the…River Road / Niagara River Parkway…Stanley Avenue… and Victoria Avenue / Ferry Street / Lundys Lane areas are for the most part not visible on the Photo Interactive Map.

As always when it comes to accommodations, I suggest that you start with the HOTEL REVIEWS Section (Button to the left of this screen) with over 15,000 Rooms in Niagara Falls there is much to choose from…

This should get you started… there are also lots of topics here on the FORUM about Accommodations (including Falls View Rooms) the FORUM is also searchable… just type any keyword(s) into the SEARCH BOX found at the top of the List of Forum Topics.

And, of course after you narrow down your choices a bit… and maybe have it down to 2 or 3 properties, do feel free to come back to the FORUM for some more input on what might work best for you (ie Location, Budget, etc).

Cheers!

The Best View I have found is the Embassy Suites, 2 Room Presidential. It has the HUGE ( approx 20ft) curved floor to ceiling window. No other hotel has it! It's expensive though... about $350 (+etc) for a regular weekday in May...

www.embassysuitesniagara.com/vtour4.html

PRESIDENTIAL 2-ROOM SUITE WITH BREAKFAST

"This elegantly appointed oversized 2-Room Suite features the most spectacular view of the famous Horseshoe Falls and American Falls that Niagara has to offer. This suite offers spectacular floor to ceiling windows - located high above the Falls on floors 20 through 36. This spacious 2-room suite features 1 King bed with an adjacent fireplace, a large 2 person Whirlpool that is open to the bedroom. A full size living room with sofa bed and dining area. Includes complimentary buffet breakfast with cooked-to-order omelette station and manager's reception. Admire the natural wonder of the majestic Niagara Falls right from your window!"
