Cheapest parking near/at falls

I plan on visiting the CA falls and staying at Lundy's Lane hotels for 3 days to save $$$, so I plan on driving down to the falls and parking nearby to walk around. (I prefer driving over taking the bus for convenience) I noticed in the other forum posts that the average parking rate for the weekends is $20 in the public parking near the falls. Street parking with limited duration parking would be cheap but doesn't seem practical. I'd like to park early and leave the car there all day till the evening. Can anyone suggest places to park that are cheap? I don't mind walking a few blocks if needed.

There are some private lots on the streets at the top of Clifton Hill, but their prices vary widely based on demand. I think the best bet is the Rapidsview Lot, about a mile above the Falls and across from Marineland. It is $10 for the day, and includes shuttle to/from Table Rock Centre at the Horseshoe Falls.

Jellydoboy , just do what all the locals do. Go to Casino , park in thier lot,go in and get a players advantage card. Then drop a Buck in the slot machine. Voila, upon exiting parking garage they swipe your card and.... parking is free, all day with no worries.

Falkor, I hear this is no longer the case. You can get the card, but you have to play it a certain amount to accumulate enough points, and $5 of slots probably isn't enough. Has anyone had experience with how much to play? I don't want to spend money or time playing when I can just park for $10 at the rapidsview lot that was previously suggested (Much thanks for the suggestion fallsdude!)

Based on other posts on this board no one knows the exact amount one must play to receive free parking and apparently customer service will not tell you the amount either.

I am guessing the amount probably changes in accordance with how busy the casino is. For instance, the amount you must play on a long weekend is probably higher than a mid week day.

I would just pay the price to park in a normal lot.

I was just in Niagara this past weekend..

The NEW Fallsview Casino requires you to play a certain amount to get free parking.. not sure how much exactly..

However you can still park at the older Casino Niagara for free with a Players advantage card regardless of how much you play, as long as you have the card it's free.

Unless it's changed, I always park at the top of the hill near the Skylon. Go up the hill towards the new Casino, and turn right at the top.. and go along just about a half a block and there is a parking lot on the right hand side.

I don't remember exactly what I paid, but I was surprised at how cheap it was. It sure wasn't $20.

Good luck.

I am planning on visiting in September and called a motel there about parking. They are .3 miles from the falls and have a lot for the motel and then a public lot with a lt of parking all day for 10.00. They said no need to get there early that there is plenty of parking. It is at the Comfort Inn on Clifton Hill. Good Luck. Oh, look into getting what is called a City Pass and you will save yourself money on entertainment. I believe City Pass has a web sit. Now...if you find any cheap places to stay that are clean let me know.

Thanks Kovy!

The suggestion to park at Niagara Casino for free sounds too good to pass up, although still sounds too good to be true.

Has anyone else parked at the Niagara Casino, signed up for the PAC, and got free parking without playing any slots or tables? Do they scan your card upon departure or do you just have to wave it to the attendent and they'll give you a free pass out of the lot?

These suggestions are much appreciated!

Your card WILL be scanned before the gate is allowed to rise.

Certainly, your card must show some activity.

How much activity, is unclear.

Today, the Fallsview Casino was offering 5 dollar parking.

Yesterday, it was 10 dollars.

I don't know how much you have to gamble before you "qualify" for free parking.

But even paying the posted prices is less than parking at a 20 dollar a day hotel.

On some weekends it's 20 dollars especially when someone "big" is at the casino showroom, or on holidays, so you takes your chances.
