Campgrounds near Storybook Gardens? Or hotels?

Planning a trip to Storybook Gardens with friends (and kids) this summer and am looking for places to camp. Is there anything close by?

If there aren't any campgrounds close by, any hotel recommendations that are near the gardens?

Thanks

Probably the closest properties and the most reasonably priced will be those that are found on Wellington Rd near the 401 going into London. Everything around Storybook Gardens is residential and though the downtown hotels are closer, they will be more costly if they're reputable and recommended.

Here are the reviews.....

You can use the interactive map to locate all the hotels/motels as well.

Hope that helps......

As for the camground, there's a KOA east of London on Highway 74 and the 401.. Likely a bit out of the way for you but here's the info anyway~

And there are a few on your way in from Port Huron toward London if you want to check out this site:

That should give you a few options for accommodations between the two posts........

Fanshawe Park has a campground...though it's been quite a while since we used it. There are plenty of things to do in the Fanshawe park area...your children might enjoy the pioneer village etc. Hopefully some of the local folks or someone who has stayed there more recently can give you more info. We did enjoy our stay there.

If camping turns out to be too far away for you, I would suggest checking out the Best Western Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre which is at Hwy 401 and Hwy 4. Highway 4 can be taken all the way to almost the entrance of Storybook Gardens and is probably a faster easier way to get there than trying to go through the city from the Wellington Rd properties.

Also, if you are interested in bed and breakfast accommodation, there is one in Lambeth called Colonel Talbot Bed & Breakfast which is approx 5 minutes from the park. I've not stayed there...have only seen it advertised. Lambeth is a small community located in southwest London. Storybook Gardens is in west London.
