Location of the the Hamilton International Airport

The J.C. Munroe International Airport (Hamilton, Ontario) is located south of the City of Hamilton in the town of Mount Hope (Glanbrook Township). It is approximately 10 km south of the Hamilton city limits and it is about another 10 km from the city limits into the downtown area. It is a small airport and is not serviced by any public transit. Thus people flying in from Europe shoud realise that ground transfers from this airport to Toronto are hard to find, and when you do find them, they are expensive. For those in the UK, it's NOT similar to flying into Gatwick and taking a bus to Heathrow (or London); it's more like flying into Exeter and trying to go to London. With this perspective, and the fact about the Globespan Service for GBP5, this is just about your cheapest and best bet.

Depending on the time of day, travel from Hamilton to airport to downtown Toronto may not take much longer than getting downtown from Pearson. Getting off the plane and out of Hamilton airport (or in to the airport) is so much easier than Pearson it may be worth it to pay more for a transfer. The net time overall is likely similar.
