Clayton park area accomodation

I am visiting Halifax from the UK and need to stay in the Clayton Park area. I am finding it difficult to know which hotels and guest houses are in that area. It is easy to search for accommodation in Halifax, but I don't know which ones would be nearest..

I am on a budget so as long as the room is clean and has a bath I don't need anything else.

Advise welcomed and thank you for your interest in reading this.

Clayton Park is a residential neighbourhood. Bayers Lake is a nearby commercial area with a number of hotels.

Quality Inn on Lacewood Drive, Holiday Inn Express on Kearney Lake Rd and Future Inn on Fairfax St. These are all in the Clayton Park area.

Here is a map showing places to stay in the area. They are in pink and you can click on them. You can also zoom in and out on the map.

Lulu has given some good suggestions. There are less expensive places along the Bedford Highway.
