Travel to and From Boston-Cape where sunrise/set visible

Hi, I am wondering if there is a ferry that goes form Boston to say Yarmouth or an area of the cape where I can shoot both the sunrise and sunset? I saw in a search title that a ferry goes from Boston to Yarmout thru Labour Day but the URL proved uninformative re this topic. Can anyone help or suggest an area for me. I probably wil take a friend and am on a zero budget so will be looking for clean, good eatery. I guess we will need a ferry that transports cars as how else would i get to a remote area. I hope that the areas are accessible there and not all private beaches etc.

A great place to shoot both the sunrise and sunset over the water, from the same spot is Cape d'Or. Check out www.capedor.ca Good place to eat there at the lighthouse kitchen. No private beaches in the area, all easily accessed and wild. Also check out www.capechignecto.net No ferry except from St John to Digby - the best is to drive up through New Brunswick and enter Nova Scotia at Amherst, where if you take exit 4 you start to head to Parrsboro/Advocate Harbour and Cape d'Or, which is at Advocate Harbour.

Hi Cher:

There used to be a ferry to Yarmouth, but there has not been for two years. There is a ferry from Saint John, New Brunswick to Digby, Nova Scotia. This only saves driving time if you are going to that end of the province. If you are going to Cape Breton you are just as well off driving the whole way.

The west coast of Cape Breton has wonderful sunsets over the water.

You probably would find good views on the Middle Head Trail in Ingonish.

There are probably places that would have sunrises too, but others will have to help you there.

I had not thought of Cape D'Or!

Be sure to eat at the Wild Caraway in Advocate Harbour and walk the driftwood beach.
