Help planning a trip to Cape Breton

Hi there,

Planning a three day trip coming from Nova scoita and ending at the Ferry to Port aux Basques. What would be the best travel itinerary starting point with two hotel stops. Goal is to catch the night ferry on the third night.

So this is a bit confusing. Cape Breton is part of Nova Scotia.

Should I assume you would be coming from Halifax?

You could take this route which allows you to see the Ceilidh Trail and much of the Cabot Trail:

Depending upon time and your interests, stay somewhere between Mabou and Cheticamp your first night; somewhere around Baddeck or south of there your second night.

This is general advice and it would really help to know when you are planning on coming.

Will be drving from

Lunenburg on the 5th and catching the Ferry on the 7th . for sure want to drive the cabot trail and site see along the way. Not too much site seeing as i will have two seniors joing us.
