We went on the Natural Habitat Polar Bear Adventure November 8 – 13, 2012 – a trip of a lifetime! We were amazed at the customer orientation and attention to detail by every single person on the NatHab staff – from the reservation staff, to the shuttle drivers, to the people helping us with parkas & boots. It was evident they had experience in planning & operating first class outdoor adventure tours – and it was clear they enjoy what they do and put their customers first. The Great White Bear Polar Rover vehicle was awesome – very comfortable and roomy – with outstanding visibility to the bears. We especially appreciated the small group size. We were very pleased with our guide Brad B. – he was very friendly, low key, knowledgeable but not arrogant, with a great sense of humor. The food on the rover was excellent – wonderful hot homemade soups, tasty sandwiches, and delicious homemade bars/cookies – with great hot chocolate and coffee. And the bears put on an amazing show for us! Our driver Lisa seemed to know just where to go to find the action. We were treated to male bears sparring and dancing with each other on their hind legs – to bears walking and resting on the tundra – to bears rolling and playing in the snow – to bears coming right up to our rover and putting their paws on the side of the vehicle. We even saw a mama bear with her two cubs. We also had an added bonus of seeing northern lights two nights in a row! The trip far exceeded our expectations. We will be enjoying our memories and amazing photos for many years to come. We would highly recommend this trip to others – and wouldn’t hesitate to use Natural Habitat for other excursions.
