Hi Marie here at Tourism Whistler

The World Ski and Snowboard Festival is a great time to visit - great atmosphere, lots of free events! Key events such as the Big Air on Saturday April 19th and the main act for the Outdoor Concert Series attract the crowds. However, this is just confined to the Skier Plaza area at the base of the mountain. You will not find it that busy on the mountains because of the festival - Christmas, Presidents Day etc. are much busier. However, the Friday and Saturday is the Easter long weekend, so expect more volume on these days.

It's getting to end of season so it's quieter. As Marie said, most action in the Village around the events.

Mornings are icy but warm up by mid day.

One of my favourite times to ride.

We've been coming out to this festival almost every year for the last several years.

The snow is still usually great and have had some fresh pow days as well. Lots going on in the village and that's very busy, but the hill is not too crowded. Rarely any lift lines more than a few minutes long.

Unless it snows, mornings are generally crispy until the sun softens the runs up. Great for some extra cocktails the night before and a later start.

We always book through the Whistler Lodging on the main website and there's always a deal to be had on accommodations and lifts. Last year the Aava was about $70 something a night and we got lifts for about $60 something a day is part of a package.

They're having a lean snow year so far but lots of time for catch up before April! Fun times are had!
