Any suggestion for a place to have a nice fresh salmon meal in the Victoria, Sooke or Sydney areas.

Lots of good restaurants but it's all been frozen-look for one that participates in this programme.

Blue Crab at the Coast Hotel could be a fit for you. I haven't been in quite a while

Overall reviews seem pretty good

When will you be here, do you have a car and how much do you really want to spend?

Price and type of meal (upscale or casual) will really determine where you go. The Blue crab is nice I was there recently but I wouldn't say it's the best for the price. If you want something super casual and fun Fisherman's wharf I has great Salmon. Red Fish Blue Fish should not be missed but if it's raining you may not enjoy it as it's outside. Nautical nellies is good for a mid range price dinner. If you do want to leave Victoria and want a more upscale gourmet option I would suggest Sooke Harbour House, but it is a longer drive.
