How long in advance should I book the ferry to Vancouver?

We will be catching the ferry across to Vancouver on the 25th April and we were wondering how soon should you book? We will be walking on and only have a suit case each.

Thanks

You can't prebook for walk-on. Just show up.

You can check ferry schedules, but no pre-booking for walk ons.

Here's the link to BC Ferries

www.bcferries.ca, then click the "Schedules" tab and key in your departure date and place - it will come up with sailing options. I try to show up 1/2 hour before, but have walked on with less than 10 minutes to spare prior to sailing.

Have a nice trip.

Well, I hope by now you have been persuaded on your other thread to take PCL across to Van. BTW, you pay both the coach and ferry fare to PCL when you buy your ticket and the coach takes you all the way from town to town.

Tickets sales for walk on passengers ends exactly 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for each sailing so you'll need to be there prior to that.

If you are taking BC Ferries the only advance booking available is for vehicles. As a walk on passenger you merely have to show up at the terminal more than 10 minutes before the scheduled sailing, purchase your ticket, and walk on.
