We are returning to Yellowstone NP in 2013 as we were so awe stuck with it, but we are trying to tie it in with other areas to make the long travel time from UK worth it. Last time we stayed in Jackson Hole too and did Teton NP, then flew to San Fransisco after Yellowstone. This time we don't want to do anymore "cities" so we are going to Banff, as well as Yellowstone. We are looking for a 3rd destination in Canada and Vancouver Island has been suggested. From our research the North part is most likely to appeal but is it going to be an anticlimax after Banff and Yellowstone? I live on an Island so sea water, seals and sea birds are not quite what I want to see, but Whale watching certianly would be, but reading reports here, that can be a bit hit and miss. Has anyone on here done Yellowstone/Banff and Vancouver Island? If so, should be looking elsewhere for our 3rd wilderness destination?
