Shangri-La or Opus Hotel for a stay in Vancouver

Hi! First trip planned to Canada, taking a cruise out of Vancouver in September and trying to decide which hotel for a pre-cruise. Never been so we (DH and I) want something in a good location, where we can walk to shopping and restaurants, and also close to sightseeing (we are thinking of doing the hop on/hop off bus). We are a couple in our late 30´s.

Thanks for your input!

The Opus is younger and hipper and in urban-chic Yaletown. Lots of great restaurants and bars right outside the door. Opus for sure.

Opus, its a great boutique hotel! You'll have fun in Yaletown, and it's close to everything. And September is a fine time in Vancouver!
