Central Location to park in vancouver for granville

We will be driving into Vancouver a few days while staying at our timeshare in Blaine Washington. Where is a good place to park our auto to enjoy downtown and taking aquabus to Granville?

Others may be more expert than I am on this but I do know downtown parking is very expensive. Best solution: park near a Canada Line station and take it into the area you want to visit. River Rock Casino (in Richmond), Oakridge Centre and near Olympic Village station all fit the bill with free or lower rates.

Hi sondrali ~

I will assume you mean Granville island and not Granville St. You can park on Granville Island. Some of the lots are 3 hours free parking, one time only, you can't move your car. Some of the lots are pay parking.

You can park in Stanley Park by the hour or for a $10 day pass. This time you can move your car from place to place.

In Vancouver you might want to find a lot to park on for the day, although parking is quite expensive here. EasyPark operates off-street lots, you can find them on the following link. And the "best one" might be several ones, depending on the attractions you want to visit:

easypark.ca/easypark-lots/locations-and-rate…

You might actually consider parking in the Park and Ride at Bridgeport Station near the airport for $2.50 a day, then take Canada Line into town and back at the end of the day. You would approach the lot along Great Canadian Way, turn into the parking lot under the hotel and find parking on levels P2 to P7. Buy your parking ticket from one of the vending machines. You can buy a day pass for $9.75 on the platform to use on any transit all day, including returning to the lot. It's 26 min into town. One benefit - by far the cheapest option and the car would be parked instead of negotiating our downtown traffic.
