Hotel or Vacation Rental in Tofino?

Hi there,

Desperately seeking help on finding accommodations in Tofino for July 10-13th. My fiance and I are looking for something well located and picturesque - preferably with a hot tub! We will probably have a car since it sounds like we will need one to get around the area. But, I think it would still be nice to be close to the beach.

I've looked at Tofino Vacation Rentals but I can't figure out the areas! Can anyone provide any suggestions for the area(s) in Tofino which might meet our requirements?

We are open to hotels too but are finding that the price points are CRAZY - but I guess I will have to suck that up since we're going during high season.

Any suggestions for reasonable hotels or for good areas for vacation rentals would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Wendy

Yes, Tofino is expensive over the summer, in particular the beach resorts. I don't know what your budget is. However, Ocean Village, rather rustic, I'll admit, but one of the less expensive beachfront options is showing $229.00 per night for your stay. Take a look and see if it suits -

Edit - You've left it rather late. You may be lucky to find something at all. Fortunately, you are coming mid-week, rather than on the weekend.

You can check out some b&b options as well. Chesterman Beach has quite a few of them, and some do indeed have hot tubs.

There is also Middle Beach Lodge, and Pacific Sands, but as itchyfeet says, you have left it quite late.

Ucluelet is another option too.

Get on vrbo as well, as there are lots of places there, and you can plunk in your dates and see what comes up. It makes it easier for checking availability.

Thanks all. We had to shorten our trip a bit so we decided to rent a hotel room since we're only going for two nights! I still can't wait!!!

Hotels or resorts will be fairly expensive this time of year. It depends on your budget, and what kind of amenities you want.

You must try Vista Hermosa Captains Quarter, Tofino - situated on the waterfront in the centre of town and with a hot tub. We spent a delightful week there.

We booked a house for 8 from Tofino Vacation Rentals. Lovely house! For the price, we expected a house of this quality and were not disappointed with the location, layout and well-equipped kitchen. We cooked every night and it was perfect for our group. It was quiet and private too.

However, there were some disappointments: the house was NOT well maintained. There were many things that were not working properly (lamps, overhead fan, etc.) and the general level of cleanliness was poor. The view was nice but we were led to believe we'd have beach access and did not. The cable TV did not produce more than one channel, despite a service call and assurances that it works just fine. The process for getting rid of trash was quite odd: we had to call when we'd filled a small basket for pick up, which was daily. Our constructive feedback to the manager was accepted with little interest.

Enjoy the breathtaking surrounds but adjust your expectations with Tofino Vacation Rentals.

Hi Karen, welcome to the forum.

It's very thoughtful of you to post your experience to Tripping Wendy, the OP (Original Poster.) When I read her original question, I notice that she came and went 2 months go, July 10-13.

Did you know that you might be able to write a review for your property in the Reviews section of TA, if it is listed? A review in the Reviews Section stays in place whereas this forum topic will fade away onto page 26 in fairly short order.
