Inside Passage weather for cruise

Hello all. How favourable would the weather be for a BC Ferry day cruise Prince Rupert to Port Hardy. We are thinking of taking one of the first spring / summer cruises in mid May.

Cheers, Ken.

Ken you can check historical weather on www.wunderground.com..

click on trip planner on top right area and then enter city name.

.putting in Port Hardy and Prince Rupert for May 15-18 gives avergae temp of 53 farenheit ( about 11 celcius) and 43% chance of cloudy day...mid may is still almost winter in the north.. and Port Hardy is north..is the cruise just to Hardy? or is it a return cruise?

Done the trip a couple times in May you never know be sure to dress warm as there's not only a cold wind always blowing the ferry itself being made of steel radiates cold and you feel it standing outside.

Beautiful time of year, melting water cascading down mountainsides wherever you look-it really is 'Cascadia'.

Thanks all for your input. We are only planning to take a one-way trip Rupert down to Hardy.
