Jasper Christmas Store

Can anyone let me know if there is a Christmas store open year long in Jasper and if so where it is? I have Googled this and come across one supposedly at the Fairmount in Jasper. However when I go on the Fairmount Jasper site it doesn't mention it so wondering if it closed? Don't want to do a trip there if it is no longer open.

We buy a bauble of each place we visit so at Christmas when putting up the tree we are reminded of all the nice memories of our family holidays.

I have not heard of such a store at the Jasper Park Lodge. However, I believe the lodge does have a store that sells Fairmont/JPL branded items. We got a JPL Christmas Ornament as part of our Christmas package there, so I suspect they would sell them as well.

Certainly, there would also be ornaments on sale in other stores. You might find something less 'commercial' at the Friends of Jasper Trails (name?) gift store which is located inside the Park Canada Centre right on the main street in Jasper.

I like to buy souvenir Christmas ornaments too.

There used to be a "Christmas in the Rockies" shop in the Beauvert Promenade at JPL, but I am not sure if it is still there. There also used to be a "Rocky Mountain Christmas" shop right in downtown Jasper, but that closed some time ago (quite a few years ago now). Most of what they both had was made in China anyway.

The Friends of JNP shop may have Christmas ornaments; if so, they would be wildlife or park-themed, or you may find a small selection at other shops, perhaps Bearfoot in the Park, on Connaught Drive across from the train station.

I've always said that a Christmas ornament is what I declare to be a Christmas ornament. So my tree has some key fobs, bookmarks, and other small objects that have been converted to ornaments.

Thank you for your info, I'll certainly have a good look when we come. (Only in Jasper 2 days, that's why I was trying to research rather than roaming around.)

And country wife I have a few key rings we put on too! All amazing memories.

Thanks again.

if you are heading to Banff they do have a Christmas store.

you can sometimes find ornaments at the other shops on main street, but there is none dedicated to Christmas in Jasper any longer.
