Anyone was in Las Vegas July 9th 2006

Fort McMurray with a population of under 100k, I'm hoping that someone knows of someone that was in Las Vegas on July 9th....as that person lost their digital camera.

If you know of someone, that did lose their camera, please have them e-mail me with proper identification of the camera, and I will be more than happy to mail the camera back to the rightfull ower.

BTW I live in Vancouver, BC....so there will be no problem with "duty" or anything like that with the shipping.

I live in Fort McMurray and will call our local newspaper tomorrow and see if they will put an announcement in the paper about the camera. Is it OK for them to include your e-mail address or would you rather they not. Thanks for posting and hopefully we can reunite the owner with their camera.

I e-mailed your local newspaper as well, cause when I tried to put an ad in via internet, they wanted me to pay $20.

Please place the ad on my behalf, and you can include my e-mail...I would really like to return this camera to the owner, as there are some pictures of the kids, and their field trip to the local fire station.....this was the only reason how I could figure out where the owner lived.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Vegas257. I asked the radio station here to make an announcement about the camera and placed an ad in the newspaper (no charge). I noticed yesterday that the ad you submitted on the internet was in the paper. We'll see if they keep both ads in or not. Anyways, hopefully someone will see it. We are leaving on holidays tomorrow, so if you do get a response, I would be interested in hearing, so please post. By the way, did you contact Ceasar's to see if anyone had reported a lost camera. I lost a FRS radio last time we were in Vegas and the nice security department at The Rio was able to get it back to me.

I don't want to get specific....but, I highly doubt the owner knows where he lost the camera....like which hotel/casino, yet alone where in the hotel.

Really appreciate all the help.....just wondering, about how many fire station do you have in Fort Murray?!? If there are less then 4, I can contact the local fire station, and see which elementry school had a field trip there on a specific date (by looking at when the photos where taken).

Will post ASAP if I get contact from the owner. Again thanks for all the help.

There are 4 fire stations in Fort McMurray, but if you call the one listed above, they could probably find out which station and which school the group was from.

Oh my,

I didn't really want to get to noisy with the camera....I just looked at the date of the pictures....and the field trip pictures of the fire station were taken back in April 2005......meaning that these pictures are like over a year old....don't think the fire station can help me.

The reason why I didn't hand the camera over to Caesars Palace was b/c of "where" I found the camera.....I'm sure the owner have no clue where he lost it, otherwise, he would have returned for it. To me, the camera must have been "sitting" there for a long time...wouldn't surprise me if we're talking hours.

I figured the best way to get the camera back to the rightfull owner was to take the camera home and try and locate the owner when I get home.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Hi,

Just got an e-mail today from someone who lives in Fort Murray, who is going to try and help me find the owner of the camera. It's been over 6 months, and I'm sure the owner must have bought a new camera by now. Still hoping to return the priceless photos to the owner.

Thanks everyone for all your help and support
