Old Style Soft Ice-Cream Cones

Are there any places in Edmonton that serve soft ice cream cones. Not Dairy Queen.

A little googling brings up One Minute Foods (Bing's), which was offering 9 different flavours of soft-serve a year ago:

Hopefully the folks in Edmonton can come up with more places for you!

Hello Country Wife, I did google and did not get what you sent. I love Peter's ice cream in Calgary; BDI and Sargent Sundee in Winnipeg. When I was a teen I worked at a drive in that had wonderful soft serve ice cream and have found that there is a big difference in taste and texture between the ones at DQ, McDonald's and them.

There is an independent convenience store at 4 Blackburn Drive W. SW / 1 block north of the Ellerslie Ruby Park on 111 st. They serve Foothills real ice cream (soft serve) offering 8 flavors plus vanilla with the flavor burst system. you can find them on facebook.

Thanks OpalGirl81. I will be visiting Spokane next month. Last Edmonton visit, a local sent us to Jack's in Spruce Grove. Quite a hike, but it was a fun place with good burgers and ice-cream.

Even I now want to go visit Modern Family Convenience, just to try.

Though, I am cheap; tend to buy at McD's, DQ or Costco usually.

Oops, just realized Modern Family is in Edmonton, not Spokane. I had asked about soft ice-cream on both forums.

If you are up for a bit of a country drive, we hit a little diner in Morinville about 20 minutes out of Edmonton earlier this summer (I believe it was called Friends & Neighbours, next to the A&W) and they had fantastic soft ice cream. I think they had something like 24 flavours and the boys tried tutti frutti (yum) and caramel (super yum!).
