Candy Cane Lane Questions..

Is it easy to get to Candy Cane Lane from the Fantasyland Hotel? As we will be there on a Saturday evening will it be better to cab it to avoid parking problems?

If you do not have a car, then you could bus or cab it. It's a long hike from the Fantasyland hotel.

Here is the info on location from the Discover Edmonton website:

"Dec 11 to Jan 01

Candy Cane Lane is located on 148th Street from 92nd to 100th Ave. It is a residential street that has been known to setup spectacular light displays since the sixties. Nearly everyone living on the street participates to create a favorite holiday tradition. The displays can be viewed by foot, car or horse-drawn sleigh.

Address: 148th St., between 92nd and 100th avenues, Edmonton ON "

Note that the Fantasyland hotel is at the far west end of the West Edmonton mall which is located 8882 170 Street.

Here is a Google Maps reference for which you can compare:

If you zoom in an out, and move the map to where the Fantasyland Hotel is the far left, you will get an idea of just how far of a walk it really is. Bussing or cabbing it to Candy Lane is the best bet if you don't have a car.

If you take the bus, route #2 gets you there from the mall. It runs up 149 Street, so you would just need to walk the one block over to 148 Street.
