Tenting in Edmonton

We are going to be visiting Edmonton this summer and will

probably be staying in a tent. There are two places we are thinking of and would like any advice or opinions of Glowing Embers campsite and Rainbow Valley. We will be visiting West Edmonton Mall for a couple of the days as well. Any help or

personal knowledge of these places or recommendations for other sites would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would vote for Rainbow Valley. I have only ever visited that area for day use, but it's a beautiful location. It's right in the middle of the very picturesque river valley, with access to an extensive network of multi-use trails. It's a great base for visiting West Edmonton Mall, as it is right on the Whitemud Freeway which will take you straight to the mall in about 10 minutes.

Thank you chucklebelly, i appreciate your response and opinion.

Of the website photos rainbow valley looks more appealing. Are there any safety issues with either area that we should be aware of?
