This is a very specific and opinion oriented question, so if nobody knows the answer, no sweat. But I'm just wondering if anyone has the scoop on what, if anything, is included when you stay at the Chateau. I'm visiting the area this August on my honeymoon, and I'm willing to shell out a bit. But I must say I was shocked when I saw the cheapest lake side room I could get was $749 CAD/night. That's about $630 in US dollars. The view from the hotel is unbeatable, but am I really paying $630 for a view? I don't see anything about meals included, or spa visits included, or anything else included (though I may be missing something, which is why I ask). The room is only 165 sq feet, which is enough room for a king sized bed, a bathroom, and not much else. So it's not as though you're paying for a spacious layout. I have heard so much about this hotel, and everyone says it's a must-visit, especially on a honeymoon. But is it really worth $350-400 more per night than some of the well regarded establishments a few minutes away in the Lake Louise area?
Any info about the perks of staying at the Chateau (beyond the view!) or any suggestions of good alternatives for hotels in the area with beautiful views would be greatly appreciated.
