Hello - we want to see Lake louise in its greenest form :) When is a good time to do this? We don't ski.
When does it look like this????
July & August are your best bets. September and late June are probably okay as well.
You really can't see Lake Loise from the ski area, it's over 7 km. Also the actual Lake is at the Chateau Fairmont Lake Louise which is also 4 km from th aVillage of Lake Louise. So can be confusing.
Also there are more visitors in the summer than in the winter.
And when you are standing at the lakeshore, it has more of a turquoise hue, and is not that green. That picture is definitely taken in late July or August, judging by the green lawn at the Chateau and the lack of winter snow patches still remaining higher in the valley along the Plain of Six Glaciers trail and area. (Other than on the very top of the peaks, all the white you see is glaciers.)
