first time to lake louise

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the ice is off the lakes yet?

I would assume most would be by now, if not all.

First stop there on 25thMay, and only a metre or so from edge melted. By 28th May, that had extended to over 3m.

We were just there as of last week. The ice is off Lake Louise itself however Payto Lake still had lots of ice. Several of the lakes were low because not enough snow melt had occured. We also couldn't believe how much snow we had for the second week of June. Out of our 10 days there it snowed 5 of them. But it is beautiful and makes for wonderful photos with the snow.

Have a great time.

I was at Lake Agnes yesterday, and the lake was mostly covered still with a thin skiff of ice. We hiked to Eiffel Lake today (above Moraine Lake) and it also was very iced over. Moraine Lake is clear of ice.
