Need your last minute advice.

Arriving to Calgary on Septemper 5th and flying back on the 13th.

Trying to plan the route with my partner and need an advice.

We thought to start 2 nights in canmore, drive to jasper area for 3 nights and last 2 nightS around banff.

is it a good route?

in jasper we don't find a place to stay. is Mt.Robson too far? a nice place to stay in?

Do we need to plan in advance places we want to go and according to that look for a place to stay or lets say we stay in Mt Robson and do what's around there?

really want to book a place tonight, because it's too late already and very hard to find available places.

thanks a lot for any advice

to find places in Jasper there is www.stayinjasper.com and use the hotel sites to get tel numbers and call direct to the hotel to find out what they might have or you have to email PHAs (sort of like BnB) to see what they night have. Then work your plan for the rest around those dates.

You will have to work where you stay for what you can find for hotels.

At least you are after the long weekend but ir will still be busy and expensive

Your schedule is very good. If you find appropriate hotels, follow your plan.

The only accommodation at Mt. Robson is camping. Are you camping?

Mt. Robson (there is only a visitor centre complex and campground there) is an hour away from Jasper townsite, which, in turn, is about an hour's drive from many of the popular scenic attractions in Jasper National Park. There may be some B&Bs in the Mt. Robson area - check www.bbcanada.com - there used to be one in a rural area just outside the provincial park boundary, and there is the nearby village of Tete Jaune, and the small town of Valemount (which is about 1.5 hours' drive from Jasper townsite.)

Check the Last Minute Vacancy Report regularly to see if any PHAs have cancellations: http://www.stayinjasper.com/avcal/report.asp

Otherwise, there is the industrial and somewhat scruffy town of Hinton, Alberta an hour's drive away, to the east.

Hello!

I would highly recommend booking your accommodation at your earliest convenience as we are a popular destination to visit in the summer/early fall months, and this may decide where/how long you will be staying in each location. Take a look here for accommodation (hotels, B&B's, campgrounds) in the Banff and Lake Louise area: https://www.banfflakelouise.com/accommodation

Enjoy your vacation in the Canadian Rockies!

I only had 3 days so we did 12 hour days but it was totally worth it. Starting by 7 got us several sites/hikes alone...so nice:)
