Got here yesterday about 1PM. Greeted by Victoria and Johnny with 2 Cazadores margaritas on the rocks. After a short visit we were taken upstairs to check in. We were given room 1803. Top floor of the Preferred Club with a fantastic view overlooking the pools and the beach. Had lunch at Oceana where they now have an additional menu with a different burger special each day. Spent the afternoon at the main pool and played a little water volleyball. Walked down to the Sugar Reef Bar and reconnected with our bartender and waiter friends. Clouds were rolling in and by the time we went to dinner at Seaside, there was lighting over the bay. About 8:15, it started to rain so they moved us under cover at Oceana. Rain and wind really picked up and the water was rolling down the stairway like a river. The floor flooded with several inches of rain water. The waiters took off their shoes and rolled up their pants and continued to work. Everyone there laughed and had a great time. A unique dinner experience that we will always remember. By the time we finished dinner, it stopped raining and the howling wind was gone. We ended up in the lobby bar where we meet more new friends (mostly from Canada) and talked and laughed some more.
Woke up this morning to sun and clear skies. Breakfast at the World Cafe and now sitting by the pool. Time to get the day off with a good start with a Chongo Bobo (my version of a dirty monkey). Living the good life at Dreams.
