Vallarta Palace and Hard Rock

Vallarta Palace will combine with Hard Rock, just like Hard Rock in Punta Cana. It will be rebranded as Hard Rock, but will still remain a Palace Resort - the same for Aventura Spa Palace, Aventura Cove Palace and Cancun Palace. They will all have casinos. Work on all of them should be completed by end of 2012.

we stayed there last June for the first time and loved it. Are planning on going back again someday.

I hope the rebranding will be for the better and not worse...

So there is construction now? Any other casinos in NV? Don't really know if that is good or bad.

Going next week and ready for some Palace R & R before the snows start blowing

Nothing going on at VP yet. It will launch as Hard Rock Vallarta in spring of 2012. No construction, just cosmetic changes. There won't be casinos in any of the new Hard Rock resorts as casinos are apparently illegal in Mexico. A Hard Rock hotel without a casino seems odd, but whatever. Fingers crossed that the changes are for the better, which I am sure they will be, because I am getting married there in April. Nothing like adding a little panic to the wedding planning!

There are 3 casinos in Puerto Vallarta already. However, that is also in the state of Jalisco where Nuevo Vallarta is in the state of Nayarit. So far there aren't any casino in Nayarit that I am aware of. The casinos in PV have slot machines, Blackjack, poker, and roulette machines.

I thought there was a casino planned just across the street from the Vallarta Palace in Neuvo years ago and had already opened.

i did not know there were any casinos in mexico. i guess because of where i live there's no need to travel for casinos so it's not something that i pay much attention to.
