Riu Palace Pacifico

Thoughts? First time to Puerto Vallarta area and we like an upscale AI with a nice beach.

We were considering the Jacuzzi Ocean View room.... has anyone stayed in one of these?

We definitely want to see Puerto Vallarta but can just take a cab or uber from the resort. Right?

Any help you can give would be great.

Very nice resort on a great beach. Easy enough to get to PV in either a taxi or on the bus, although it takes about 45 minutes. Good choice on the resort!

I would return to the Palace in a heartbeat.

Wifey and I are torn on the Jacuzzi suites. If you have looked at pics, there is no privacy at all. Everyone on the opposite side of the hotel can watch you. People that walk down the outside stairs to the pool, walk right by you. We just returned from a week there, and we spent a lot of time on our balcony......and we didn't see one person in a hot tub. But the oceanview rooms are bigger and look fantastic.

Very good All Inclusive on the beast beach in the whole area.

No disco,or kids pool slides.

You can use other 2 Rius, they have Discos., Although a good 5 block walk South. Can't go for breakfast or Dinner though.

Palace has room service and Air-conditioned Lobby, other don't.

Bus out front to go to Puerto Vallarta.

Walk to Bucerias town to North, better, cheaper shopping than Puerto Vallarta.

Good luck

We have stayed in the Jacuzzi suites several times. Yes from floors 6 on down to the first floor are open. But personally I just like all of the added room the Jacuzzi Suite offers. Walk in shower, walk in closet and large Balcony are a few of the perks. There is also a large whirlpool tub inside the room as well.

If you are only staying a week maybe the cost difference the Oceanview room is a better option. The Oceanview is a little bigger than the partial Ocean view but then again you would have to be floor 5 or higher to be able to have a view over the Palm trees but all Jacuzzi suites are on the end and you have a great view.
