Is Elafonissi Beach Reachable by Car

Hi

Is Elafonissi Beach reachable by normal car (not 4WD)? From googling it seems that it is possible but hope somebody who knows can tell me. Thanks.

Yes. There two routes, one the coastal road and an interior road. The coastal road is very scenic. Many tight turns and switch backs. Do the posted speed limit and you will be fine.

Yes, there is a good tarmaced road there. I know you haven't asked the question, but the road to the other 'famous' beach, Balos, is not metalled.

most certainly doable in normal car we did the dirt road from paleochora to elafanisi in a matiz quite a memorable journey the beach car parking area is not of a road metal standard large pebbles and grit but with care you will be fine well worth the effort to get there , there is a shipwreck just off the island but not visible off the beach, nice shallow lagoons enjoy your visit.
