1st timer to Cabo? where to stay, what to do?

Hello all,

Myself and 2 of my friends are turning 30 in June and are have always wanted to go to Cabo...

What kind of nightlife does Cabo? Who agrees that this would be a fun destination for a gaggle of fun and cute single girls to celebrate their 30th?

Please let me know!

Just returned from a week in Cabo (15-22 Jan). Plan to post a full review soon, but the short version is:

Best Location: Hotel Finisterra, Palapa Beach Club section (walking distance to everything)

Best Mexican Food: Mi Casa

Best Seafood: Macambos

Best Whale Watching: Zodiaks by Cabo Expeditions (though probably not in June)

Best Dinner/Margarita Cruise: CaboRey

Best Nightlife: CaboWabo, El Squid Roe, & Gigglin Marlin

Best View: Whale Watcher Bar (at Finisterra)

Best Sunsets: DaGiorgios Italian Restorante (~5.5 Km on the Corridor)

Best Beach: Solmar for solitude; Medano for swimming/crowds

Best Pool: Finisterra (3 large pools with differing temps; swim-up bar; jacuzzis; views; whales; etc; etc)

Best Side Trip: Todos Santos

Best Advice: Stay tuned to this forum right up until you leave

Great destination for cute single girls celebrating their BIG 3-0! But be prepared to be hit upon. "What Happens in Mexico (Cabo) Stays in Mexico (Cabo)"!

The above is filled w/good ideas! I would also suggest looking into Playa Grande and Solmar to check prices. Same beach (no swimming) Also Pueble Bonito properties are good, and if you want to be right down town check Costa Real-no beach-but great party location, and there is a water taxi to the beach.

Thats a great list all I would say is that if you can make it a little early around Memorial Day weekend is a great time as a lot of people head down for that weekend.

Thanks for all the great tips!!! Sounds incredible!

Another question... Is JUNE a bad time to go?

The whole point of the trip is to celebrate our big 3-0, which is June 25, but is this a terrible time to vacay in Cabo?

I've been there in June and it was great - very hot! I've also been in November and June was definitely a little less crowded.

Being close to 30 myself, I can say that Cabo would be fun for a group of girls. I found that it was much more casual than other Mexican cities I've been to. People didn't really dress up to hit the bars there. I love Cabo for many, many reasons, but it's nightlife was a little lacking in my opinion. If you really want to have a crazy "Girl's Only Trip" you should go to Miami!

However, there are SO many fun beach activities to do and don't miss seeing the sunset from Da Giorgio's! You won't be disappointed.

Have fun!!
