Colonial Olympio crime?

Can anyone tell me if Colonial Olympio is a safe place to rent. I am not familiar with this neighborhood and I am trying to find a safe long term rental in San Miguel de Allende. Please advise

But can you trust that advice, since you still don't seem to know the name of the colonia?

It would not be my first choice. If this is your first time in San Miguel perhaps you should stick close to centro. Also if you can, come down and rent short term while you look around the areas you like. Much better deals are often found walking around town rather than on the Internet. Over all San Miguel is very safe, and there are good neighborhoods in most parts of town. However, for your peace of mind rent short term look around then arrange for long term.

don't forget to check out the roof dogs, fireworks, and church bells

Know nothing about that area but I stay in a Blue Collar neighborhood in Zihuatanejo loving it!

Friendly people, little English forcing me to stretch my Spanish & convenient to stores, budget cafes Etc.
