BajíoGo offer both a shared van service and a cheaper option which involves the airport bus to Querétaro and a van pick up at the bus station. You can do the latter independently for less. (That's what I always do). Both are within your budget and if you use the search function you will find lots of positive reviews of the service.

May I suggest you take the Primera Plus bus at the airport to Queretaro, you will be surprised how easy, comfortable and economical it is. And if you have a lot of luggage, there will be no problem. You will arrive at building A and walk to building B, just a few steps, from there you have many departures to San Miguel with different bus lines.

Thanks so much. Do you happen to know what time in the early morning the bus leaves. We arrive early, will have breakfast at the airport and then look for transportation to Queretaro and then on to SMA

Bus schedules are at www.primeraplus.com.mx - they are at least one an hour. There is actually one early bus to Celaya from which you get a cab direct to San Miguel without spending too much.

There are buses from the airport to Querétaro at 0230, 0530, then hourly until 1030. After that they are more frequent. No need to prebook, but go and buy your ticket before breakfasting. There are lots of places close to where the buses leave from. (The hours may differ slightly depending on which terminal you are leaving from).

Alternatively, take a cab to Terminal Norte, from where there are nonstop Primera Plus buses to San Miguel (check website for latest times). The ETN buses take longer from there since they stop twice.
