handicapped travel

We are going to San Miguel with a friend that is handicapped and cant walk more than 2 blocks on a flat street. is there cabs or drivers available. How would we go about renting a driver for a week?

1. Re: handicapped travel

If there are 3 or no more than four, I would use taxis which are ubiquitous and inexpensive: $20.MXN (don't tip unless they provide some additional services) for those hailed on the street intown. They are a bit more if called or late at night.

A driver/car or van on call for a week would be prohibitively expensive, but I'll try to find out if you want to go that route.

Flat here is relative, but with taxis widely available, anywhere not too far up and East should be little problem.

Had dinner with some folks on Friday, one of whom is similarly handicapped, but has "staff".

They felt $110.US 9-6 was maybe the going rate.

As mentioned, I'll get some names and quotes if you want to go there.

It's getting a bit like Fall.
