Hi everyone, we're in San Miguel when the dia de Los locos festival is on. I can't find information on what to expect. What do we do as tourists? Any information about it would be great!
Bring umbrellas for shade. Standing in the sun this time of year adds 10 degrees to the "Real-Feel". Plot an escape route, the parade lasts 3 hours and the crowds are so deep you will never get through them. There are restaurants along the parade route, but prime viewing spots are reserved in advance.
I forgot to add that umbrellas have a second use, they are turned upside-down to catch the candies thrown from some of the "floats".
