Question on Ana Y Jose room choices....

We are trying to decide on room at this hotel. Any tips from those who have been there...we are looking at beachfront suites (not not excited about having others right under us or the independent suite which is further back behind the beachfront suites but has noone sharing. Any noise issues at this hotel....any info would be appreciated. thanks.

Hello,

We have stayed at Ana y Joses several times now and it is my favorite place in the world. We prefer the El Deseo suite, the farthest north, top floor suite. Second choice is Encantada, also a top floor suite. You hardly notice anyone below you, and if you are traveling off season, you may not even have anyone below you.

We have stayed in the ground floor suites before and found that people have to walk right by your door to get to their suites. Unless you close up the curtains real right, and hence, forego a sea breeze, it doesn't feel very private.

We have never had any problems with noise at the hotel. It is very quiet. If there was a problem, I believe the management would take care of it.

I can also recommend the flambe tequilla shrimp. A wonderful dish prepared right in front of you.

Enjoy!

We stayed in Estrella. It is upstairs and over the bar, but the noise level was surprisingly okay. For a suite, it is quite small particularly with our 2 boys in the room with us (it is really a large room, not a suite). The decor was unusual, though. If there are only 2 of you, it is a reasonable choice.

Be sure and try other restaurants in the area, too. We enjoyed Que Fresca, and thought it was the best in the area.

Thanks for the info on Ana Y Jose...we have booked the Deseo and it sounds like the place is just what we are looking for. It really helps to have first hand advice!
