Temazcal Tulum

The other posts on this topic seem a bit dated. Does anyone have any updated info about Temazcal near Tulum?

Preferably seeking an off the beaten path experience... if that exists in that area. If not I'll take what I can get :)

I will have a car if that changes anything.

Many thanks

1. Re: Temazcal Tulum

I just got a quote from one place for $500USD for 2 people!? That is insane!

I'm going to post in one of the other forums, but I'm ideally looking for a typical local experience, and not a luxury experience.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

See if you can get ahold of someone at Holistika. Or Maya Spa. Or Maya Tulum.

Who quoted that crazy price for you?

Lol. I had a feeling. Yes, Yaan is the priciest spa facility in Tulum.

And the quickest to reply to my email haha!!

Do you have any thoughts on places outside of Tulum? A short drive away? It's not really convenience I'm looking for.

Thanks

I’m case anyone interested: simple and authentic run by Larisa y Carlos

The temezcal is simple, but people are very spiritual.

For a more posh version, but ceremonies run by two fantastic Mexican healers Yaan Spa, it’s 75 USD per person. If you can prove you live here long term (Say you have a lease) - local

Price 500 pesos. (That’s about 20£)

Note, ceremonies are only run on significant days, full moon / new moon etc. Any “daily” offering is kind of a basic tourist thing
